It is often very difficult to photograph out in the field when relying solely on natural light and you want maximum depth of field. wind is almost always a factor even if you are on a tripod. I always turn to my flash for that reason and the key is to make it look like it wasn’t flashed. f/22 or f/32 do the rest for me :).
