Michigan’s Upper Peninsula
Departure point: Detroit, MI (DTW) airport
Come join me for this new workshop to the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The tour begins with your arrival around noon at Detroit airport (DTW) where I will pick you up. We have a long drive to the Upper Peninsula so we can use that time to discuss the following days events or even post processing. This is strictly a landscape shoot and the primary focus will be the beautiful waterfalls and fall colors along with the shorelines of the great lakes. This will be a short but action packed workshop covering a great variety of landscape locations and will conclude with your flight out on the morning of the 26th of October. Good boots for walking in water (Neos) are recommended for this trip as is decent protection for your gear as conditions may be wet and even snowy! The cost is $1,895 and includes your lodging (based on double occupancy) and transportation after your arrival in Detroit (DTW) airport. You must fill out and return my Payment Schedule and release form as well as the emergency contact form to participate on this tour. Lodging could include a Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, or similar.

I live in Michigan and have been shooting fall color in the U.P. for 30 years. These dates are way too late for fall color.

Hey Rich, thanks for the feedback. I realize that it is late for peak….but I was there exactly the same dates last year; http://blog.sigmaphoto.com/2013/michigans-upper-peninsula-with-the-sigma-12-24mm-lens/ and while the color was a bit past….I got to avoid the crowds you get during peak season a week or so earlier.
