Ricketts Glenn waterfall workshops

Come join me for this intimate waterfall workshops at Ricketts Glen state park in Benton, Pennsylvania with over 20 waterfalls!  These  workshop will teach you how to master water/waterfall photography and is scheduled to avoid the weekend crowds.  Many workshop to this area call themselves small yet take  6-8 people or more per instructor while mine is limited to 4 participants.  The area is not well suited to that many people at the same location and doesn’t allow for the same personalized attention and instruction I will give you. The workshop is a bit strenuous although you will only need to physically be able to walk downhill. The trails can be treacherous at times; so don’t underestimate your ability!  You should plan to get wet and carry your gear…no rolling bags on this workshop.  The workshop starts at sunrise on October 14th where we cover 1/2 of the falls. On October 15th, we cover the 2nd half. on Saturday on one side of the loop trail covering about 10 waterfalls.  This is not a photoshop or processing workshop but concentrates on taking time at each waterfall. This fall workshop should provide us excellent autumn colors but is not guaranteed.  I will wear high top sneakers or boots so I can go into the water to get the best possible vantage point. Bring gear to protect yourself and the equipment, as this workshop is rain or shine.  Every day, pack a lunch and water as well because we will be photographing most of the day. There are no restrooms along the way.  I will provide you with some specific gear instructions once you sign up for the workshop but a sturdy tripod is an absolute must!  This intimate workshop is limited to 4 people to allow me to provide individualized instructions and maximize your photographic opportunities. Don’t be fooled by Meetup’s or workshops that take groups of 10 or much more. The cost is $700 for both days.  Lodging, transportation  and meals are not included although I will give recommendations for all.  Below is a sample of images that you can expect to get.

Awesome place to shoot waterfalls. So many to see and shoot in one location. This place is the best, beats New Hampshire in my opinion.

Hi Roman Can you give me an idea of the cost of lodging? I’m assuming it would be for Fri and Sat as we would be starting quite early Sat am.

That is correct Janet! I will be staying in Wilkes-Barre as it is only about 1/2 hour away with plenty of places to eat! Wide variety of accommodations with many under $75 per night.

OK…more like 45 minutes but still….plenty of places to eat!

Roman, do you still have a slot for this workshop? If so I want to sign up. (and thanks for the exposure cheat sheet from the Longwood’s workshop)
