From yesterday’s Longwood Gardens Flashmaster macro workshop. It is critical to the success of your images to learn how to use your flash no matter what the conditions especially when you want sharp images even in windy conditions. I spent yesterday morning teaching my students how they only need to consider the sun “just another” light source and combining that with flash, providing dramatic results. I used the Sigma Ring flash powered up for this image.
